LLL Conference Guidelines

Revised August 1996

  1. Purpose of the Organization
    1. To promote Christian sportsmanship among LLL schools.
    2. To develop moral, ethical, spiritual, and physical characteristics of the child.
    3. To develop a better understanding of those sports offered by the league.
    4. League Sportsmanship Motto: The Little Lutheran League welcomes you to our school. We ask that all participants and spectators conduct themselves in a God-pleasing manner before, during, and after all athletic events. Cheer in a positive way, show respect to opponents and officials, practice good Christian fellowship and have fun.
  2. Membership
    1. League membership shall consist of representatives from each school presently in the league.
    2. The league is currently made up of these ten schools:
      1. Zion-Columbus
      2. St. Peter's-Helenville
      3. Bethany Lutheran-Hustisford
      4. St. Paul's-Ixonia
      5. St. John's-Juneau
      6. Lebanon Lutheran-Lebanon
      7. Holy Cross-Madison
      8. Our Redeemer-Madison
      9. St. Matthew's-Oconomowoc
      10. St. John's-Waterloo
    3. Voting membership shall be on a one vote-per-school basis.
  3. Officers-The officers of the league shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Statistician.
    1. Term of Office
      1. The term of each office shall be two years.
      2. There is no restriction on the number of years one may serve.
      3. Elections shall be held at the spring meeting.
    2. Duties of Office
      1. President
        1. The President shall preside at all meetings, appoint committees, and arrange meeting facilities.
        2. The President shall have a prepared agenda for each meeting and be the overseer of all committee work.
        3. He/She will contact the vice-President to preside in his/her absence.
      2. Vice-President
        1. The Vice-President shall assume the duties of any possible officer vacancies.
        2. This may include but is not limited to presiding over a meeting in case of the President's absence or illness.
      3. Secretary/Treasurer
        1. Record minutes from each meeting.
        2. Mail out copies of minutes from meetings to all league schools.
        3. Keep on file copies of all league minutes.
        4. Carry out necessary communication by exchange of letters.
        5. Keep a record of all incoming and outgoing league funds.
        6. Present a written record of all funds at all league meetings.
      4. Statistician
        1. Set up a score-reporting system and compile all league statistics.
        2. Mail out league statistics to all league schools and report mailing expenses to Secretary for reimbursement.
  4. League Meetings
    1. There shall be regular league meetings in the fall and spring of each year.
    2. The purpose of these meetings is to review the previous sports seasons and plan for upcoming sports seasons.
    3. Scheduling will be discussed and/or approved at these meetings.
    4. Each school is to have have an athletic director and coaches in attendance.

    2. Girls
      1. Volleyball
      2. Basketball-(A&B)
      3. Softball
      4. Track and Field
  6. Membership Dues
    1. Dues shall be determined annually at the fall meeting and shall be payable by September 30th to the Secretary/treasurer.
    2. The current annual dues are $80.
  7. Awards
    1. Each league member shall keep a sports plaque to be engraved with the placement and record for each sport except track and field.
    2. Individual ribbons will be awarded to the members of the track and field team according to guidelines set up for that sport.
