St. Matthew’s Lutheran Girl Pioneers

Lutheran Girl Pioneers is a Christ centered, service oriented, church organization that allows our girls Christian fellowship in combination with learning new and different things outside the classroom.

Who can attend?

Girls attending 1st grade through 8th grade and high school age girls interested in being Junior Leaders.  The groups are as follows:

Sunbeams (Grade 1 and Grade 2)

Travelers (Grade 3 and Grade 4)

Trailblazers (Grade 5 and Grade 6)

Homesteaders (Grade 7 and Grade 8)

Meeting Times

We meet twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the school gymnasium.  The leaders meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm.  We meet during the school year from September through May with our annual camping trip scheduled in early June.  Occasional time changes and special events will be planned and communicated to those families involved by your child’s leader.

Registration Night

Registration Night will be held Tuesday, September 4 in the school gymnasium.  Come anytime between 6:30pm and 8:00pm for the open house to learn more about LPG, meet the leaders and register your child.  There will be no meeting for the girls this night.  This year we will also have the option of mail-in registration.  Please mail (or drop off) the registration form and fees to: St. Matthew’s School, Attention Amy Bence,  818 West Wisconsin Avenue, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.  Extra registration forms will be available in the school office.  This year’s fees will include $25.00 for the year.  We make it a point not to turn away any girl due to the inability to pay.  If payment is a concern, please feel free to speak to your leader or council member.  An additional charge of $5.00 is needed for girls in grade 3 and older for the purchase of the Luther Girl Pioneers handbook unless previously purchased.  If you would like to order any of the Lutheran Girl T-shirts or sweatshirts, it would be an additional charge.
