PPH: Meet the Teachers

Preschool Power Hour Staff

Beth Ziel: Writes and coordinates all the Bible and music lesson plans, teaches music in PPH. Beth holds a B.S. in education and is our St. Matthew Lutheran School kindergarten teacher and is married to Mr. Eric Ziel, our school principal. They have three children: Megan, Jacob, and Anna. Bev Fulmer: Writes and coordinates creative art and gym plans. Teaches gym/art in PPH. Bev is married to Mr. Jim Fulmer. Bev has worked many years in childcare as a teacher and program director. She also has personal and work experience with children with special needs. Bev and Jim have two children: Brad and Brian. Email Bev Fulmer.

Joy Lenz: Teaches music in PPH. Joy has several years of experience teaching children in various settings, such as Sunday School and swimming lessons. She enjoys music herself by playing percussion, cello and piano, and desires to inspire an appreciation and love for music with preschoolers. She is a licensed dietician. Joy is married to Dr. Michael Lenz and they have three young children.

Brenda Pillard: Teaches gym/art in PPH.  She has taught Sunday School in the past and supports St. Matthew's school in a variety of volunteer positions.  She is married to Paul Pillard and they have three sons.

Angie Molkentin: Angie and her husband, Jon, discovered St. Matthew's after attending Power Hour several years ago. They are now St. Matthew's members together with their three children, TJ, Katie, and Tristan. Angie firmly believes in the power of God's Word to nurture faith. She enjoys the opportunity to connect with people using God's Word, together learning more about our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Amy Paulsen:  Amy assists with PPH special events and Sunday childcare for PPH.  She has several years of experience teaching children in various settings including PPH, Lutheran Girl Pioneers and coaching cheerleading.  She is married to Eric Paulsen, our school’s seventh grade teacher.  Eric and Amy have three children.

Carrie Rosenau:  Carrie assists with PPH special events and Sunday childcare for PPH.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary/early childhood education and has experience teaching first grade, working with preschoolers, teaching Sunday School and coaching cheerleading.  She is married to Andy Rosenau, our school’s sixth grade teacher.  Andy and Carrie have one child.

Sharon Goessner:  Sharon assists with PPH special events and Sunday childcare for PPH.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and has experience in teaching preschool and kindergarten, teaching music for band and piano, teaching Sunday School and plays several musical instruments herself.  Sharon is married to Gary Goessner and they have three children.
