Personal Information

My name is Amy Mamerow. My husband Tim and I have a son Caleb and a daughter Emily both of whom attend St. Matthew's. We live in Oconomowoc, and enjoy the beauty of this city. Oconomowoc is very close (20 miles) to my home-town (village actually) of Iron Ridge, WI. I am happy to be so close to my mom and siblings. I enjoy the time I can spend with them.

Professional Information

I teach first grade here at St. Matthew's Lutheran School and serve as the Extended Learning Director. This is my 18th year here at St. Matthews. I believe that first grade is where the action is! I greatly anticipate watching them grow, both spiritually and academically in the nine months they are with me. It is certainly a privilege to be able to share the message of God's love with these young lambs. My other love in the classroom is teaching reading. I myself continue to look for ways to improve reading/writing instruction in my classroom through professional reading and a variety of graduate level classes. I follow the Four Blocks Literacy Framework in my classroom, and would be interested to hear from any other primary grade teachers who are interested in teaching language arts, or who have ideas to share.
