Beth Ziel, Kindergarten

I was born in Watertown, South Dakota, and spent my elementary school years in Montana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. After graduating from MLPS in 1981, I spent four years at DMLC training to be an elementary school teacher. Upon graduation, I was assigned to a one-room school in San Antonio, Texas. I only served there one year before Eric Ziel and I were married in July of 1986.

We have spent the last 21 years in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, where Eric teaches Eighth Grade and serves as principal of St. Matthew's Lutheran School. I taught First Grade at St. Matthew's for two years before two of our children, Megan and Jacob, were born. Twelve years ago, I accepted a call to teach Pre-Kindergarten at St. Matthew's. In April of 1996, our third child, Anna, was born.

After eleven years of teaching Pre-Kindergarten, I moved into the role of kindergarten teacher last year. I continue to enjoy the privilege of serving the Lord at St. Matthew’s.
