Personal

My name is Kari Tiarks. I was born in Burnsville, Minnesota. My dad is the pastor at Good Shepherd and my mom serves as the secretary. I have two sisters, two brothers, two nephews, and six nieces. All of them live close to my parents, except me. I attended Good Shepherd for K-8. I headed to Saint Croix for high school. After high school, I went to Martin Luther College, which I had already decided to attend since first grade.

Professional

This will be my sixth year at St. Matthew’s and sixth year of teaching. It is a great joy for me to teach students the precious truths of God’s Word and to watch them grow academically. I am also involved in other areas of the school and congregation. One of my favorites is music. I teach piano lessons, help out with musicals,and am a member of the church’s Praise Team. I am also going to be helping out with YOUth Praise, too. I also coach girls’ softball and forensics. It certainly is a blessing to serve here at St. Matthew’s.
