I have been teaching for twelve years. I consider it a privilege and a blessing to teach children God's Word through daily Bible stories and classroom activities! Through a variety of teaching methods and subjects, I strive to make pre-kindergarten an environment in which students experience early school success while developing skills needed for kindergarten.
Pre-Kindergarten is often a child's first exposure to formal school. It is an exciting and fun time to be involved with the children and their families. There are several activities scheduled during the school year that provide opportunities for parents and children to interact and begin lasting school relationships. I enjoy being a part of this special time in the children's lives!
I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in school administration. I have experience teaching a variety of grades as well as departmentalized Spanish, writing, and geography. In addition to teaching pre-kindergarten, I am currently teaching 8th grade part time and serving as a remedial resource teacher.
My husband and I have five girls, ages 4, 6, 13, 15, and 16. We live in Watertown, where our two oldest girls attend Luther Preparatory School. This summer we have all had a lot of fun at the Watertown pool and riding bikes. We also enjoy going to the YMCA and serving St. Matthew's as a family.
